It was starting to become late at night now. Lavie had just finished sparring with Kirin and managed to cut herself by attempting to hit him in the chest with the hilt of her sword. She also still needed to meet with the quartermaster to get her room assignment but no one was even aware she was in a body yet. She held her wounded bleeding hand after tying her sword to a belt she had a replicator make. She made her way to the medical bay and upon entering the Emergency Medical Hologram appeared “Please state the nature of the medical emergency… *He glances at her* oh… It’s you…” “Hey Doc… some scientists managed to give me a body… and well…” She extends out her hand. The EMH nods “I was wondering how you ended up bleeding… Let’s check out their handiwork shall we…” He pulls out a tricorder and scans Lavie “You are indeed a human now… This implant is a nice touch… If only I could have a body.” “You saying you want one…” “Eh the jury is still out on that one… I will let you know besides making the emergency doctor a body would overfill the crew and be a pointless task.” “Not entirely.” The EMH grabs a regenerator and comes over to her repairing her hand in seconds then pulling a small piece of gauze from an instrument tray and cleaning up the little bit of blood. “There you go… Good as new…” Lavie nods “Pain is an interesting sensation…” She says and the doctor chuckles “An undesirable one from what I hear.” “Well it does not feel good so I guess that’s right… Anyway I need to go bug the captain and then go talk to the quartermaster.” She gets up from the bed she was sitting on while he was fixing her hand and heads out of the room the EMH turning himself off when she left.
Lavie next went to Alex’s office. She was not there so she headed for the bridge. Upon arrival to the bridge the security officer standing guard looks at her questioningly. Trent not recognizing who she is “Can we help you?” “No.” She walks over to the Captain’s chair. Alex is there. She looks at Lavie; also, not realizing who she is. “What can I do for you” She asks. “Well… Being that I am alive now I need quarters…” Alex looks at her confused “Excuse me…” “I’m the ship… Dr. Johnson had a body created for me like RINZ…” Alex tilts her head then Trent says “We did get a notice that a shipment for the Doctor arrived early…” “And I was not notified?” “We assumed it was a personal package.” Alex looked at Lavie questioningly “So how do I know-“ “Know I am the hologram you people ignored…” The viewscreen turns itself off then back on behind her. Alex sighs “So… I’ll need to get you added to the duty roster then… for tonight” Lavie stares at her “You mean in like two hours… that is cruel… “ “And you are a computer…” Lavie rolls her eyes “With any luck you will be just as annoying as Eris was.” “You really don’t like my kind do you…” “It has nothing to do with liking you or not… You are not a real person.” Lavie has this cold look on her face “I’m as real as you are…” She draws her sword and cuts herself. As she drew her weapon the guard in the room drew his and as she cut herself he looked frazzled. Alex stares in amazement “Why would you… Jesus Christ…” She says as Lavie puts her weapon away. “You treat me like an object even when I am not…” The room is silent now and Lavie goes to leave only to be stopped by Trent who had pulled out a first aid kit. He pulled out a regenerator and repaired her hand again. Upon repairing her hand, he puts the item back in the kit and puts it away. “Thanks Lieutenant.” Trent nods and Lavie heads back to the lift. When she leaves Alex turns to Trent “What on Earth…” “She wants acceptance and for people here to realize she is not just the ship anymore… It is reasonable ma’am.” Alex nods “I guess you are right… I’ll need to meet with her at some point and apologize. Notify the Quartermaster to assign her quarters and enter her into the manifest.” “Aye.” Trent does as instructed.
Lavie goes to the quartermaster’s quarters and activates the call without touching it. Lu opens the door. “The Captain notified me you were coming… So I have your room assignment and other relevant details.” He hands her a datapad. She takes it “Any questions; it is quite late.” Lavie shakes her head no. Lu nods “Good night then… Sorry I am being so short; its like 10 PM…” “It’s okay… Thank you.” Lu stands there as she salutes then leaves watching her head off. She seemed human enough to him. He closes his door and goes back to what he was doing. Lavie was assigned one of the empty two person rooms on deck 4. She takes the lift down to that floor and heads for her room. She arrives inside to find a divider separating two beds, two desks with terminal, two dressers and a couch and table on each side. The divider had a door attachment which she promptly activated. Now the two sides of the room were basically completely separated. Each section of the room had its desk, dresser, bed and seating area now all its own. This was also one of the few quarters to have separate bathrooms on each side that meant no sharing. This room was the first place she had to herself; her own actual space. She also almost forgot about food and she noticed a replicator on the wall by the seating area. She sat on the couch looking around the space thinking about how she could make it her own and what she would need. She began to set up her room to her liking.
