Dear Captain Layton and Colonel Thornton,
My name is Admiral Jennifer Shepard and I'm contacting you as per your request for a new Chief
Intelligence Officer for your command and I'm honored to say that I am supplying you with one of the
best in the fleet, if not *THE* best in my personal and professional opinion.
It was originally thought of assigning to your ship members of my division's special units such as "Fox Unit" or "Dead Cell" as my advisers suggested heavily that I do that but I did not make the position of chief of my department within intelligence to just sit with my thumbs up my ass if you get my meaning?
The members of Star Fleet Intelligence Directorate Special Assault Squad Seven Seven Nine
(The "Nazgul") has a long history of service since the late twenty three hundreds and is a proven
special tactics and operations unit with a success rate that I can honestly say is on the money and
as such I would only assign a unit fully and totally capable of handling the problems that your ship has
been reported running into over the past few months.
Following the tradition set down by the original founder of the unit over a generation before, the unit utilizes
code names in the field that came from an old Earth novel and they stick to a particular set of tactics that has been time honored and proven time and time again as shown in their service jackets which I'm supplying to you on a separate, more secure channel.
Data-File:
Name: Soran-Ward, Cameron
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Callsign: "Witch King"
Species: Human (Colony Born)
Homeworld: Asgard
SAS-779 Position: Commanding Officer
Speciality: Covert Affairs, Special Operations, Strategic Planning, Sniping
In Brief: Lieutenant Commander Soran-Ward is a man of many talents with a career in the fleet that spans
even before the foundation of the Galactic Federation and is the reason behind my assigning him to you as
your CIO, Captain Layton. Due to his unique talents, he tends to be a little bit more..unusual in his information
gathering but he indeed gets the job done, just don't expect a lot of paperwork..just telling you now.
Name: Quartermaine, Emmeline
Rank: Lieutenant
Callsign: "Taureil"
Species: Human (Earth-Born/Augment)
Homeworld: Earth (Pre-World War Three)
SAS-779 Position: Executive Officer
Speciality: Covert Affairs, Special Operations, Special Weapons and Tactics, Infiltration
In Brief: Lieutenant Quartermaine is one of the best recon operators in the entire SFID, having earned that status
during operations on several planets during the conflicts that lead up to the formation of the Federation and despite a small issue on her jacket, she is one of the most well trained and decorated pathfinders in the entire intelligence division.
Lieutenant Quartermaine will be your eyes and ears in the field, reporting through Lieutenant Commander Soran-Ward to you.
Name: Slayton, Christopher
Rank: Lieutenant Junior Grade
Callsign: "Gothmog"
Species: Human (Colony Born)
Homeworld: Harvest
SAS-779 Position: Data Intrusion Specialist
Speciality: Covert Affairs, Special Operations, Recon, Data Intrusion and Warfare, holographic and AI specialist
In Brief: To put it simply, Lieutenant Slayton is a hacker. He understands computers in ways that tend to scare some people since he can read it and instantly translate it in his head. He has an intense understanding of most computer systems used by most of the major and minor powers in the quadrants-so if he says there
is something hinky about anything related to data, he's not to be taken lightly.
However do remind him that we still have certain pictures of him on file and that should keep him away from any form of Social Media sites..
The things that one wishes that one could unsee, Captain.
Name: Tre'gata, Shiori
Rank: Sublieutenant
Callsign: "Uvatha"
Species: Vulcan (Sybokist)
Homeworld: <Classified>
SAS-779 Position: Communications and "Conversational Awareness"
Speciality: Covert Affairs, Special Operations, Communications, Interrogations, Profiling
In Brief: Miss Tre'gata is a Vulcan but unlike most of her kind, she is a "Sybokist" which are those among the
vulcan people who feel that by denying one's emotions actually does more harm to their soul and denies them access to
the true understanding of logic and it is a belief first founded a couple of hundred years ago by the renegade vulcan scholar Sybok and as such, she has made communications her area of specialty as well as becoming quite adept at the dual skills of profiling and interrogation.
You might notice that her home world is classified, no you may not ask why trust me on this.
Name: Han'na
Rank: Chief Petty Officer
Callsign: "Grishnakh"
Species: Klingon (Imperial Born)
Homeworld: Space-born (IKV Drovana)
SAS-779 Position: Procurement
Speciality: Covert Affairs, Special Operations, Procurement Specialist
In Brief: Han'na is not your average Imperial-born Klingon as in he doesn't believe in charging into
battle and has often times been accused of actually being a Cardassian due to his love of intrigue but this
simply because he is a rarity in the Klingon people that goes back to the days of the Klingon Cold War and the "Shenlong Incident", he's a believer in something that he feels is higher and more pure-information.
Han'na is the unit's procurement specialist which means that he gathers what they need-weapons, explosives, body parts to access sealed areas-you name it-and he is actually very good at it and he is usually the one that also keeps the more..shadowy parts of Miss Tre'gata in check much to his long term suffering..
Name: Dumont, Jason
Rank: Ensign
Callsign: "Khamul"
Species: Human (Colony-born/Hoffmite)
Homeworld: Hoffman
SAS-779 Position: Recon and Heavy Weapons
Speciality: Covert Affairs, Special Operations, Heavy Weapons, Recon
In Brief: Mister Dumont is a Hoffman, a colony where the first colonists there where genetically augmented to not only
survive and thrive in a high gravity world but also not suffer any drawbacks when they leave said world and as such, he looks like a well built normal human man of Saoman heritage..until he picks something up that would normally require three or four anti-grav units like it was a feather.
As one of the three members of a sub-unit within 779 under the semi-direct command of Lieutenant Quartermaine, Mister Dumont is a "Hound of Justice" (the sub-unit's self-proclaimed nickname) and he is often referred to as the "Big Dog" by his two "brothers" in Slayton and Hunter-where you see Dumont, the other two
are surely very close by and are extremely good at pack tactics.
Name: Hunter, Matthew
Rank: Ensign
Callsign: "Grond"
Species: Human (Colony-born)
Homeworld: Grayson
SAS-779 Position: Recon, Spotter, Explosives Ordance Disposal
Speciality: Recon, EOD, Covert Affairs, Special Operations
In Brief: To put it simply, Mister Hunter is slightly unhinged.
I'm not joking.
As a citizen of the Grayson Protectorate, Mister Hunter was one of the very few
lucky people to have survived the "Syphon Filter Incident" during his time in another branch
of intelligence due to his spotting a hostile agent during the event that lead to him saving no less
then thirty people that would've added to the bragging rights of the Federation's enemy at the time.
Due to this however, Hunter became the sole survivor of his entire unit and this lead him to become slightly
unhinged which actually works to his advantage as he can often pose as a bum in a city or something but most of the
time he is usually the spotter for the sniping that Lieutenant Quartermaine does in the field as he can usually looks for what is wrong with the picture all of the time-he's not paranoid, he understands that the universe has things out there to get him which makes his talent very useful in the field.
